Does Realtek Ethernet Controller Driver Slow My Internet

  • May 10, 2018. Enhanced Driver suites and let Window-10 re-detect the card and let it load it's driver. You should probably connect by WiFi before doing this. Ethernet Patch-cords can look fine, but actually be bad/flaky. Way back in 2010 when I got my Aurora-R1. Ethernet performance seemed slow.

Realtek Ethernet Controller Driver Windows 10

As per the issue description you are not getting the proper download/upload speed when connected to internet. There can be a number of reasons for slow Wi-Fi connection in Windows, some common issues that can cause these problems are:

  • Corrupted or incompatible drivers.
  • Missing updates.
  • Network connection settings.
  • Hardware or software problems.
  • Inappropriate distance from the router or obstruction.
  • Interference with other devices.

A wireless network router has a limited broadcast range. The further the computer is from the router, the weaker the broadcast signal. Solid objects, such as walls, metal furniture, and electrical appliances might interfere with the signal and decrease the usable range.

For testing purposes, move the computer closer to the router and minimize interference from electrical devices. If testing the connection with the computer near to the router proves that the wireless connection does not disconnect at a significant interval, you can move the computer to determine the range of the connection.

Realtek Network Controller Driver

My computer wasn't picking up any changes in internet usage, I was pretty confused considering I was downloading at the time. I checked task manager, and other various apps, same result. I ended up searching for the problem, I then realised it was something to do with a Virtual Driver that I had to remove. As I proceeded to do this, another error showed itself as I uninstalled this driver. It went something along the lines of 'An error occurred...' I will check later and update this, but anyways, I searched for a fix to this problem as well. I had to uninstall my realtek drivers/internet drivers. I continued to do so and after a reboot of the computer, I saw the no connection sign on the network icon and was unable to connect to the internet.
I have had issues with Windows before considering I've tried to install Ubuntu on multiple occasions but this has generally failed considering I had installed it when it wasn't ready for a 1070 yet. I'd rather not restore my PC since I have hundreds of videos on my HDD and important files.
Thanks,
HypoCheese.
